If you are in search of a unique vacation destination not far from home
in Chicago, Kishauwau Country Cabins can put you in the backyard of four
Illinois state parks with endless opportunities for outdoor recreation
or relaxation. Our cabins are able to accommodate 1-14 guests, and we
welcome dogs too in three dedicated dog-friendly cabins. As a family owned
business, we maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for any vacation
from family reunions to romantic getaways.
From Chicago, take I-290 W to the exit for I-90 E/I-94 E toward Indiana.
Keep left at the fork, and continue onto I-94 Express. Merge onto I-94
E, and keep right at the fork to continue onto I-57 S. Use the right 2
lanes to take exit 345B for I-80 W. take exit 81 for IL-178 toward Utica,
and continue to N 21
st Rd and turn left. Turn left onto E 875
th Rd, and then make a right onto N 2129
th Rd. You will see us on the left.

Our cabins are situated along the southern reaches of the Fox Valley, located
in North Central Illinois. The region is home to the towns of Ottawa,
Peru, and North Utica, which are about 2 hours south of downtown Chicago.
While the region is considered part of the Chicago metropolitan statistical
area, it offers a completely unique atmosphere of wilderness, state parks,
and breathtaking scenery.
LaSalle County is home to about 113,924 residents, and it has a history
tracing back to 1831, when French explorers entered the area. In 1858,
Ottawa, the county seat of LaSalle County, was home to the famous Lincoln-Douglas
debates, and the town continues to boast a number of historical sites
